We had been buying and selling vintage shirts for a couple years. Occasionally we would have a shirt that just didn't meet our standards. A surplus of shirts would accumulate and had to be disposed of.
A good friend called us after learning that our town was going to ban the use of plastic bags, and suggested we make our overstock shirts into RECYCLE grocery bags.
We made the first barefoot bag within 24 hours. After a little online search we discovered we did not invent the wheel, but had a different twist on an old concept.
Our shirts are hand-picked from a variety of sources, then completely washed and inspected for the third time. During that last inspection they are selected for Vintage shirt sale on eBay or made into a barefoot bag.
These bags may have a small imperfection (tear, discolor spot etc). But that is the nature of vintage shirts.
We have had vintage, rock tour shirts that have sold for hundreds of dollars each (those shirts don't make the bag list). Some of which have had tears, rips and stains.
